WHAT WE PUBLISH

Ricochet Review welcomes national and international submissions from high school students, college students, and non-students who have work that fits our theme.

Our issues are themed. The theme for the next issue, Volume 6, will be Verse Poetry. We will be accepting limericks, ballads, sestinas, pantoums, and all forms of verse poetry. There are many instructive websites, including https://www.poetryfoundation.org/

Reading Period Begins September 17, 2017 and closes December 17, 2017.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Submissions are accepted from September 17, 2017 to December 17, 2017.
  • We do not accept submissions by email.
  • Submission does not guarantee publication.
  • Please submit to only to one of the categories (see below) at a time. We do not accept more than five poems per submission.
  • Only original material will be published.
  • We do accept simultaneous submissions. If accepted elsewhere, please notify our managing editor as soon as possible at gabriel.sg.aco@gmail.com. Our response time is usually 2-3 months. All rights revert back to the author upon publication.
  • Please send all submission inquiries to our managing.editor@ricochetreview.net or faculty advisor at faculty.advisor@ricochetreview.net.

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES

Category 1: High School Student

This submissions category is for students who are in high school. The theme for Volume 6 is Verse Poetry. We are looking for any type of poetry that falls under this theme. In your cover letter, please include your mailing address, email address, high school name, and high school contact information. Please SUBMIT one file with no more than five poems included.

Join Ricochet Review‘s mentorship exchange! High school students who wish to be mentored by professional/well known poets should highlight their interest in their cover letter when submitting their poems. The editorial board will then contact chosen participants.

Category 2: College Student

This submissions category is for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a degree program. The theme for Volume 6 is Verse Poetry. We are looking for any type of poetry that falls under this theme. In your cover letter, please include your mailing address, email address, College contact information, and where your work has been published before, if relevant. Please SUBMIT one file with no more than five poems included.

Category 3: Non-Student

This submissions category is for all writers not enrolled as a student in an academic degree program. The theme for Volume 6 is Verse Poetry. We are looking for any type of poetry that falls under this theme. In your cover letter, please include your mailing address, email address, and where your work has been published before, if relevant. Please SUBMIT one file with no more than five poems included.

Category 4: Poetry Translations

This submissions category is for all writers. The theme for Volume 6 is Verse Poetry. We are looking for any type of translation that falls under this theme. Translations must have proof of rights that give the author(s) permission to translate. Original translations must be included with your translation submission. In your cover letter, please include your mailing address, email address, and where your work has been published before, if relevant. Please SUBMIT one file with no more than five translation poems included (originals exempt).
